Max Norman, age 72, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Norman was born March 28, 1942 and was a lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County. He was the son of the late Fred Norman and the late Iona Branch Norman. He was retired from BP and was a member of Satilla Free Will Baptist Church. . Survivors include his wife, Gloria Norman of Hazlehurst; Daughter, Cheryl Norman of Hazlehurst; Three Sisters, Wanda Denmark, Joane Jump and Barbara Connell all of Hazlehurst; and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2:00pm at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Norman will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service.
