Mrs. Minla Lee "Minnie" Kerns, age, 80 of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, GA.

Mrs. Kerns was born October 28, 1941, in Newton, North Carolina.

Mrs. Kerns is preceded in death by her parents: Bill Horton & Bonnie Lee Rackley; grandson: Tyler; brother-in-law: Jr. Kerns.

Mrs. Kerns was a member of Hazlehurst Church of God and lived in Hazlehurst for 42 years. In her free time, she enjoyed babysitting, baking cakes, quilting and spoiling her dog Bailee. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband Stuart for 63 years.

Survivors include: husband: Stuart Kerns of Hazlehurst; son: Donnie Kerns (Robin) of Branford FL; daughters: Donna Worth (Scott) of Hazlehurst, Denise Davis (Wadis) of Hazlehurst, Dana Creamer (Russ) of Hazlehurst; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother: Bill Horton (Sarah) of Riverview FL; sisters: Ann Fischer (Ray) of Seffner, FL and Nancy Kerns of Taylorsville, N.C.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM and the funeral will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Shon McEachin & Rev. Robert Wigley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jason Worth, Colt Kerns, Joshua Worth, Dylan Davis, Kaden Creamer, and Chase Wildes. Honorary Pallbearers will be all in attendance.  The family will gather at 83 Toliver Schell Road.

Interment will be held at Palms Memorial Garden following service.
