Mr. Monty Smith, age 47, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mr. Smith was born April 11, 1968 in Fulton County. He was a graduate of South Georgia College with an Associate's Degree in Chemistry, was employed with the City of Hazlehurst and was a member of Bell Street Church of God. He was preceded in death by his Father, Marion Smith. Survivors include his Wife, Kim Taylor Smith of Hazlehurst; Daughter, Jamie Brooke Smith of Hazlehurst; Son, Eric Smith of Hazlehurst; Mother, Linda Smith of Hazlehurst; Sisters, Jan (Andy) Anderson of Hampton and Susan Smith of Dunwoody; Niece, Sydney Anderson of Hampton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bell Street Church of God. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church at 3:00pm with Rev. Brian Brazzell and Rev. Ryan Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Smith will be placed in church one hour prior to Services. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Monty Smith, age 47, of Hazlehurst.
