Mrs. Christine Sandiford Joyce, age 88, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, April 11, 2020 at her daughter's residence.

Mrs. Joyce was born June 30, 1931 in Telfair County to the late Homer Sandiford and the late Bessie Strickland Sandiford. She was a retired Seamstress and member of Lumber City Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Joyce, granddaughter, Debra Colson, siblings, Herman Sandiford, Martha Wilkerson and Emily Powell.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Marie and James Davis of Hazlehurst; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Buttram of Brunswick; Richard H. and Nancy K. Joyce of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Rhonda Sellers, Joshua Buttram, Ashley Joyce and Katelyn Lintner; two great-grandchildren, Mika Pearson and Donovan Dickey; brother, Waymon Sandiford of Leesburg; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 2:00pm at Palms Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ashley Tyree officiating.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Myrtle Christine Joyce, age 88, of Hazlehurst.
