Ms. Myrtle Lee Revell, age 81, of Columbus, GA, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital.  She was born in Hazlehurst, GA, December 28, 1943, to the late Arley K. Walters and Myrtle Shell Walters Wildes.  Ms. Revell lived in Jeff Davis County for fifty years where she owned and operated Myrtle Lee's Beauty Shop for thirty-one years.  Spending time with her customers was one of her greatest joys.  She attended First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst before moving to Columbus, GA, in 1994 where she then attended Edgewood Baptist Church.  She loved participating in her Sunday School class, square dancing, ballroom dancing, gardening, and playing canasta with friends.

Ms. Revell is preceded in death by her parents; step-dad, Clyde Wildes; husbands: Jerome Powell and David Revell; siblings, Herbert Walters, Ruth McNeal (W.A.), and Alton Walters; and son-in-law, Dan Ragan.

Survivors include her children, Cindy Johnson (Derek) of Lumber City, Scott Powell(Trice) of Hazlehurst, Lacey Ragan of Columbus, and Anna Walden (Greg) of Columbus; grandchildren: Dallas Johnson (Katie) of Griffin, Kansas Powell Hazlehurst, Hanna Brookins (Devin) of Hazlehurst, Lilly Ragan of Columbus, Stella Ragan of Columbus, Eli Walden of Columbus, and Mason Walden of Columbus; great-grandchildren: Harper Rose Johnson and Hadley Grinnel; sister, Fannie Lou Rentz of Hazlehurst; brother, Albert Wildes (Ann) of Alma,; sister-in-law, Shirley Walters of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, Doug Revell (Suzy) of Carrolton; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held in honor of Ms. Revell at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Edgewood Baptist Church in Columbus, GA with Rev. Johnathan Merritt officiating.  A graveside service will follow that afternoon at Palms Memorial Gardens in Hazlehurst, GA, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Wigley officiating.
