Mr. Norman Trowell, age 82, of Hazlehurst, died August 05, 2020 at Lumber City Nursing Home.

Mr. Trowell was born September 14, 1936 in Bacon County to the late Cleon Trowell and the late Myrtle Hutchinson Trowell.

He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and Fleetwood and for the past few years he has worked as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Inez Willoughby Trowell and brother, Virgil Trowell.

Survivors include his children, Kay and Gary Davis of Hattiesburg, MS, Willis and Mary Ann Trowell of Hortense, Dianne and Ray Gilbreth of Hazlehurst and Barry and Mary Trowell of Hazlehurst; two sisters, Mildred and Aaron Newham of Hazlehurst and Faye and Martin Stone of Jeffersonville, Ga.; fifteen grandchildren, thirty four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survived.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 08, 2020 at 11:00am in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Billy Baldwin, Michael Trowell, Christopher Corbitt, Curtis Trowell, Joe Hoda and Zachary Corbitt.
