Odell McEachin Lewis, age 92, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Lewis was born July 13, 1923 in Graham to the late Floyd Hendrix Smith and the late Annie Harrison Smith. She was retired from Village Cake and Doughnut Shoppe and a member of Bridgeford Church of God. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Grover McEachin, Son, Gerald McEachin, Sisters, Odessa Rentz, Euca Lee Bass and Verma Hamm. Survivors include two Daughters and Son-in-Laws, Nita and Jimmy McLeod and Janiece and Kenny Williams; three Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Donnie and Donna McEachin, Grover and Beth McEachin and Ronald and Barbara McEachin; Brother Elton (Marie) Smith; Twelve Grandchildren, Twenty Three Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great-Grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Hazlehurst Church of God. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 02, 2016 at 2:00pm at Hazlehurst Church of God with Rev. Nathan Smith and Rev. Jaime Rivera officiating. Interment will follow in the Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis will lie in state one hour prior to service.
