Odessa Thompson Hayes, age 83, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Lumber City Nursing Home. Mrs. Hayes was born March 05, 1932 in Jeff Davis County to the late George Thompson, Sr. and the late Hattie Kersey Thompson. She was a Homemaker and member of Union Springs Baptist Church. She loved being a Ministers Wife, Singing and Sharing the Lord with others. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lonnie Lee Hayes, Son-in-Law, Huey A. McLoon, Sister, Athell T. Beecher and Brothers, George Thompson Jr. and Albert Thompson. Survivors include, Daughter, Margie McLoon of Hazlehurst; Sons and Daughter-in-Law, Ronnie and Linda Hayes and George and Judy Hayes both of Hazlehurst; Sister, Laura T. Hazleton of Swainsboro; Brothers, Edward Thompson of Byron, Wilson Thompson of Macon, J.C. Thompson of Midway and Vernon Thompson of Hazlehurst; Six Grandchildren, Three Step-Grandchildren, Twelve Great-Grandchildren, Eight Step-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived
