Odessa Pair Rentz, age 88, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Washington County Extended Care Facility in Sandersville. Mrs. Rentz was born September 17, 1925 in Jeff Davis County to the late Floyd Smith and the late Annie Harrison Smith. She was a Homemaker and member of the Lumber City Church of God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Pair and Scott Rentz, daughter, Brenda Carrol Pair, son, James Pair, sisters, Verma Roberts, Doris Warrner, Euca Lee Bass and Grandson, Trey Logue. Survivors include Daughters and Son-In-Law, Joene Parlor of Hazlehurst and Scharlene and L.T. Logue of Sandersville; Sister, Odell Lewis of Hazlehurst; Brother, Elton Smith of Douglas; Six Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 4-6pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Yawn and Rev. L.T. Logue officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Family may be contacted at the residence of Joene Parlor, 420 J.A. Yawn Rd., Hazlehurst.
