Mr. Odis C. Wilcox, age 95, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Wilcox was born January 01, 1921 in Jeff Davis County to the late Thomas A. Wilcox and the late Missie V. Creamer Wilcox. He was a Retired Farmer and member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margelene Schell Wilcox, son, Kenyan D. Wilcox, sister, Lucille Hutchinson, three brothers, James C. Wilcox, B.F. Wilcox and T. Edward Wilcox. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette T. Wilcox of Hazlehurst; Three Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Odilene W. and Donnie Weeks of Tifton, Gail W. and Herbert Mason of Hazlehurst and Kathy W. and Larry Lord of Hazlehurst; Two Sons and Daughters-in-Law, Ron W. And Euree Wilcox of Jesup and Maxwell O. and Alice Wilcox of Hazlehurst; Brothers, Raleigh M. Wilcox, Sr. and Theo A. Wilcox both of Hazlehurst; Thirteen Grandchildren, Twenty Three Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great-Grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00am at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Dr. Ron W. Wilcox and Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Wilcox will lie in state one hour prior to service. The family can be contacted at the residence, 31 Wilcox Farm Road, Hazlehurst.
