Omie Mae Jeffcoat Taylor, age 78, of Hazlehurst, died June 3, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was born August 11, 1934 in Nahunta but had resided in Jeff Davis County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Rowell and the late Gertrude Hodge Rowell. She was a Seamstress and was a member of The Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Jeffcoat and her children, Willie Jeffcoat, Corbin Jeffcoat and Tammy Jeffcoat. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Jeffcoat of Hazlehurst; Sons, Rev. Halton Jeffcoat, Marvin Jeffcoat, Charles (Melissa) Jeffcoat all of Hazlehurst, and Tobin (Nita) Jeffcoat of Pine Mountain; Sister, Viola Toler of Hazlehurst; Brothers, Albert Rowell, Henry Rowell, Harvey Rowell and Ira Rowell all of Hazlehurst; 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Gaddis officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
