Mrs. Patty Courson Rea, age 62, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Hazlehurst Court Care. Mrs. Rea was born November 20, 1955 in Jeff Davis County to the late Walter Everett Courson and the late Toye Carter Courson. She was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bane Courson. Survivors include her husband, Michael Rea of Hazlehurst; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa (Melvin) Music of Monroe and Holly (Michael) Worth of Hazlehurst; son, Allen (Kara) Rea of Hazlehurst; sister, Kathy (Paul) Wilkes of Hazlehurst; brother, Larry (Judy) Courson of Hazlehurst; thirteen grandchildren, Audrey Talley, Hailey Music, Will Music, Zach Music, Mackenzie Butler, Ashton Worth, Evan Worth, Collin Worth, Riley Hardsee, Katie Rea, Hosanna Rea, Isabella Rea and Isaiah Rea. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2:00pm at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Rea and Rev. Billy Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Rea will lie in state one hour prior to service.
