Paula Kay Carter, age 49, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born June 20, 1968 in Jeff Davis County. She was previously employed with Ero and a member of Bible Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lourene Toler and brother, Charles Gaither. Survivors include her daughter, Amber Smith of Hazlehurst; son, James Williams of Hoover AL; father, J.C. Carter of Hazlehurst; four sisters, Sheila Smith of Lumber City, Michelle Reynolds of Hazlehurst, Charlene Holton of Hazlehurst and Sonya Miller of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Wilton (Wil) Wooten, Carlie Williams and Chelsie; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 1:00pm and funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Al Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in the Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
