Zellair Pearl Lairsey Evans, age 81, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Genesis Healthcare in Hazlehurst. Mrs. Evans was born January 6, 1933 in Jeff Davis County to the late Jessie Clifford Lairsey and the late Beatrice Buckins Lairsey. She was a Homemaker and member of the Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Harvey Edward Evans and Two Daughters, Eddie Sue Evans and Wanda Sharpe. Survivors include Three Daughters, Martha Ray of Denton, Margaret Hernandez of Baxley and Annette Green of Hazlehurst; Two Sons, Ted Hartley of Hazlehurst and James Evans of Baxley; Sister, Myrtice Boatright of Hazlehurst; Brother, Clifford Lairsey of Hazlehurst; 17 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Tyrone Hutcheson and Rev. Thomas Colter officiating. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence of James Evans, 1242 Prentiss Road, Baxley.
