Mrs. Pearl Dyal Newham, age 82, of Hazlehurst, passed away December 13, 2021 at her home.

Ms. Newham was born in Wheeler County and was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Dyal and Dora Lee Smith Dyal, her husband, Walter Floyd Newham and daughter, Brenda Shipes.

Ms. Newham was a Homemaker and a member of the Light House Baptist Church in Hazlehurst. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed taking take of and cooking for her family.   She is survived by her sons: Mitchell Newham (Lisa), Greg Newham and Robby Shipes; Grandchildren: Zac Newham, Brendon Newham, Nicholas McCloon, Lee Mincey, Chan Shipes and Angel Covington; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 17, 2021 at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Morgan officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Zac Newham, Mitchell Newham, Greg Newham, Perry Toler, Chad Toler and Benji Poore.
