Mr. Ray O'Conner, age 76, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Jeff Davis Hospital after an extended illness

Mr. O'Conner was born December 27, 1943 in Montgomery County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Syders and Ethel Davis O'Conner, sister, Eloise Carter, sons, Ricky Allen O'Conner, Jeffery Ray O'Conner, daughter, Rachel Lynn O'Conner. He was self employed as a drywall contractor and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Barfield (Steve) of St Mary's;

son, Terry Randall O'Conner (Jill) of Statesboro; five sisters, Eleanor Campbell of Hazlehurst, Bobbie Jean Edge of Hazlehurst, Wanda Gail Yawn (Greg) of Hazlehurst, Ethel Janice O'Conner of Hazlehurst and Pamela V. Eubanks of Hazlehurst; brother, Michael Syders O'Conner of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Brittney O'Conner, Courtney Hodges, Terry O'Conner Jr., Taylor Hodges, Joshua Ward, Jaimee Raye O'Conner, Jeffrey O'Conner Jr., and Raymond Shane O'Conner; great-grandchildren, Kylie Wilson, Austin Ray O'Conner, and Madison Brooke O'Conner; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00pm at Cooper Cemetery in Montgomery County with Rev. Allen Hartsfield officiating.
