Mr. Raymond Davis, age 86, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, October 03, 2019 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Mr. Davis was born October 15, 1932 in Appling County to the late John Davis and the late Elizabeth Lewis Davis. He was the former owner and operator of Earth Movers and Land Clearing, Inc.

He is preceded in death by a grandson, David Kyle Shumans and ten siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Lorine Hall Davis of Hazlehurst;

daughter and son-in-law, Judy and David Shumans of Graham; two sons and daughters–in-law, Randy and Connie Davis of Hazlehurst and Kendall and Emilia Davis of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 05, 2019 at Southside Baptist Church, visitation will begin at 1:00pm and funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Jeffery Spell and Rev. Deek Dubberly officiating.

Interment will follow in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Southside Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
