Mr. Travis Richard (Ricky) Steverson, age 55, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, April 08, 2019 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mr. Steverson was born July 31, 1963 in Coffee County. He was employed with McRae Correctional Core Civic Facility in the Maintenance Department and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Travis Steverson, sisters, Sherry Lynn and Tracey Steverson. Survivors include his wife, Rose Medders Steverson, of Hazlehurst; daughter, Candace Steverson of Hazlehurst; son, Tyler Steverson of Hazlehurst; mother, Sue Lytle Newman (Gary) of Hazlehurst; sister, Angel Steverson of Douglas; two grandchildren, Allie Rowland and Kaydence Taylor of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright Parlor Funeral Home Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Hulett and Rev. Joey Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Family may be contacted at the Steverson residence, 11 Sweetgum Lane, Hazlehurst.
