Robert Larry Haymons, age 65, of Lumber City, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Dublin. Mr. Haymons was born December 14, 1948 in Telfair County to the late Aubrey L. Haymons and the late Almeadie Moon Haymons. He was a Veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the United States Army, was retired from Amoco Fabrics with 41 years of service and was a member of Amazing Grace Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey Ralph Haymons. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Foskey Haymons of Lumber City; Two Daughters, Shannon and Mike Parlor of Hazlehurst and Tammie Hartley of Jacksonville, Ga.; Sister, Emma Jean Hester of Carrolton; Two Granddaughters, Macy Parlor and Faith Parlor of Hazlehurst; nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Amazing Grace Church with Dr. Robert Hulling officiating. Interment will follow in the Fishing Creek Cemetery. Mr. Haymons will lie in state one hour prior to service time. Family may be contacted at the residence, 2220 East River Road, Lumber City.
