Mr. Robert Pickren, age 93, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas. Mr. Pickren was born February 24, 1924 in Jeff Davis County to the late Elijah Pickren and the late Rosa Lee Rowland Pickren. He was retired heavy equipment operator and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Diggs Pickren, daughter, Linda Pickren, sister, Myrtice Graham, Brothers, Herbert Pickren, Brooks Pickren and Johnny Pickren. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Raulerson of Hazlehurst and Rosaleen Heriges of Mt. Juliet, Tenn; two sons, Robert Pickren Jr. of Deland, FL and Jim Pickren of Green Acres FL.; sisters, Lucille McMasters of Hazlehurst, Carrie Walker of Jacksonville FL., Bessie Tuten of Tenn., Marion O'Conner of Hazlehurst and Dora Jean Lewis of Hazlehurst; brother, George Pickren of Hazlehurst; Twenty One Grandchildren, Forty Two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, seversal nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00-5:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Chapel in Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Gay-Pickren Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Robert Pickren, age 93, of Hazlehurst.
