Mr. Robert Rowell, age 72, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Mr. Rowell was born on March 18, 1951 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Leonard Rowell and Pearline Wilson Sapp, sons, Clint Rowell and Ricky Rowell and sister, Lesa Sharpton.

In Mr. Rowell younger days he loved riding a Motorcycle, he was a Professional Painter and called Lumber City Nursing Home his home for the past several years. Robert was loved by his family and everyone at the Nursing Home, although he couldn't say much, he always had a sweet disposition and a big big smile for everyone he met.

Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Rowell of Columbus; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Suann Rowell of Hazlehurst and Lloyd and Michelle Sapp of McRae; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa and David Tucker of Scotland and Carol Hodges of Fort Worth Texas; three grandchildren, David Ortiz, Nichlos Ortiz and Noah Rowell and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Hal Jeffcoat officiating.

The Rowell Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
