Roger Lynn, age 71, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, March 01, 2015 at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mr. Lynn was born June 12, 1943 in Bridgeport Connecticut to the late Benjamin Lynn. He was a Graduate of Norman College and Valdosta State College with a Master's Degree in Education. He was a retired School Teacher having taught in the Colquitt County School System, Moultrie Technical School and he worked with students and adults in the GED program. He was elected as Teacher of the Year at Charlie H. Gray Middle School in his early years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, member of the Masonic Lodge of Moultrie, Georgia and member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn B. Lynn of Hazlehurst; Daughter, Lisa Renee LaTour of Chattanooga, Tn.; Step-Daughter, Melinda Ferrell of Fayetteville, Ga.; Son, Craig Lynn of Moultrie; Step-Son, Frank Bragg, Jr of Annapolis, Md.; Mother, Hazel Joiner Harrell of Hazlehurst; Sister, Cheryl Lynn of Moultrie; Two Grandchildren, Valarie Oscar of Tn. and Marcus Lynn of Al.; Four Step-Grandchildren also survived. Visitation will be held Wednesday at 10:00am at First United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 04, 2015 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Gale and Rev. Russell Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor is in charge of all arrangements for Roger Lynn, age 71, of Hazlehurst.
