Ronald Cleveland Edwards, age 73, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Edwards was born July 30, 1943 in Washington D.C. to the late Herman Cleveland Edwards and the late Lois Marie George. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines, retired from Five Star Foods and member of the First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst. He is preceded in death by his brother, Don Edwards. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Moreland Edwards of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Tonya creamer of Hazlehurst and Kathy Harlan of Kansas; four sons, Jimmy Edwards of Savannah, Ronnie Edwards of Hazlehurst, Richard Edwards of Nashville TN and Allan Edwards of Hazlehurst; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1:00pm at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah with Military Honors and with Rev. Roger Daniels officiating. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Ronald Cleveland Edwards.
