Ronnie D. Mims, age 71, of Denton, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Mims was born August 1, 1943 in Jeff Davis County to the late Buddy Mims and the late Nellie Stokes Mims. He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills as the Excursion Department Supervisor and a member of Stones Chapel Holiness Church. Survivors include his Wife, Geneva Caves Mims of Denton; Daughter, Suzie Mathis of Denton; Son, Ronnie La Don Mims of Barnwell, S.C.; Two Grandchildren, Kera Bryant and Tyler Lann of Denton; Three Great-Grandchildren, Landon Varnadore, Zander Kirkland, and Peyton Lann; Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Stones Chapel Holiness Church with Rev. Tim Mock and Rev. Edison Taft officiating.
