Mr. Ronnie L. Wilcox, age 68, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, April 11, 2019 at St Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville FL. Mr. Wilcox was born June 21, 1950 in Jeff Davis County to the late Henry Luther Wilcox and the late Opal Powell Wilcox. He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and is preceded in death by his wife, Lavern Mason Wilcox and son, Don Wilcox. Survivors include his son Bill Wilcox of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren, Sarah Wilcox, Grant Wilcox, and Reece Wilcox; three sisters, Marilyn Spoon of Denton, Melcene Hatton of Denton, and Vicky Varnadore of Denton; two brothers, Burch Wilcox of Denton and Hank Wilcox of Denton; several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Colter officiating. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence of Burch and Teresa Wilcox, 191 A.H. Moody Road, Denton.
