Mr. Roy Hughes, Jr., age 47, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born September 15, 1971 in Greensboro Georgia but has resided most of his life in Hazlehurst. He was a Construction worker and member of the Hazlehurst Church of God. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Herrington Hughes and brother, Wayne Hughes. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Amanda Hawkins Hughes of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Taylor Hughes of Hazlehurst and Skyy Hughes of Hazlehurst; three sons, Chris Hughes (Courtney), Bryan Hughes (Allysa) and Trea Hughes all of Hazlehurst; father, Roy Hughes Sr. of Hazlehurst; sisters, Linnie Davis and Angie Everett; brothers, Sonny Hughes, Timmy Hughes, Josh Hughes, and Matt Hughes; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Carter officiating.
