Samuel Marrell Chaney, age 33, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Chaney was born May 28, 1983 in Richmond County, was a Mill Wright Worker and is preceded in death by a brother, Paul Matthew Chaney. Survivors include his wife, Keri Bryant Chaney of Hazlehurst; two sons, Skyler Ashley Marrell Chaney and Carter Anthony Marrell Chaney both of Hazlehurst; mother, Barbara Stapleton and Billy C. Taylor of Hazlehurst; father, Ricky Chaney of Valdosta; sisters, Chastity Taylor of Hazlehurst and Courtney Chaney of Bainridge; brothers, Craig Taylor of Hazlehurst, Jeremi Chaney and James Chaney both of Bainbridge; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Stapleton of Hazlehurst; paternal grandmother, Patricia (Judy) Chaney of Hazlehurst; several cousins, nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017, visitation will start at 12:30 and funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Samuel Marrell Chaney, age 33, of Hazlehurst.
