Mr. Samuel "Ross" Day, age 13, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, October 06, 2020 at his residence.

Samuel was born March 29, 2007 in Mobile Alabama and previously attended Jeff Davis County Middle School. He was loved by many and he touched so many lives. Though he was small in stature his reach of love and affection affected everyone he came in contact with. Samuel was preceded in death by a twin sister, Esther Reese Day.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Tina (Mayfield) and Charles Brantley of Hazlehurst; father and step-mother, Travis and Mindy Day of Andalusia, Alabama; sisters, Reagan Day of Hazlehurst, Shelly Brantley of Hazlehurst and Lucy Grace Brantley of Hazlehurst; brothers, Cayle Brantley of Hazlehurst, Carver Day of Andalusia Alabama and Luca Day of Andalusia Alabama; grandparents, John and Teresa Hunt of Andalusia AL, Ronnie and Selena Day of Broxton, Louis and Sylvia Mayfield of Wilmer, AL, Hugh and Laverne Brantley of Hazlehurst and Linda Goad; great-grandmother, Asline Pierce of Wilmer Alabama; several aunts and uncles also survive.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Hazlehurst Church of God.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 11:00am at the Hazlehurst Church of God with Rev. John Nunes and Rev. Joey Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the New Corinth Holiness Cemetery in Broxton.
