Mr. Samuel Wommack, age 88, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Wommack was born September 08, 1927 in Jeff Davis County to the late Harris Brantley Wommack and Mollie Powell Wommack. He was a member of the United States Navy having served in World War II, a retired Farmer, Assistant Post Master and retired from Amercord. He was a member of the Local and International Lions Club, Jeff Davis Board of Equalization and member of the Hazlehurst Primitive Church where he was a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Walter Wommack. Survivors include his Wife of 65 years, Betty Sue Dyal Wommack of Hazlehurst; Three Daughters, Sharon (Jeff) Smiley of Tifton, Shelia Wainwright of Valdosta and Mollie (Kenny) Davis Hazlehurst; Daughter-In-Law, Debbie Wommack; Sister, Sara (Kelly) Elton of Albany; 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Dewitt Corbin, Elder William Bishop and Mr. Jimmy Ryles officiating.
