Sheila Jean Lazo Shafer, age 61, of Smyrna, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Shafer was born April 11, 1953 to the late Horace Lazo and the late Mary Renfroe Lazo. She was a Medical Instructor at Ashworth College. Survivors include her son, Bryan Shafer of Smyrna; Uncle, Ralph Renfroe of Hazlehurst and Cousins, Rhonda Renfroe Joiner of McRae and Rocky Renfroe of Columbia, SC. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 12:00-1:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 1:00pm with Rev. Danny Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Sheila Jean Lazo Shafer, age 61, of Smyrna.
