Steve Dixon, age 94, of Jacksonville FL, formerly of Hazlehurst, died Friday, March 22, 2019 at his sons home. Mr. Dixon was born July 21, 1924 in Jeff Davis County to the late Albert Dixon and the late Vera Nelms Dixon. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II, retired from Ryder Truck Lines and member of the Hazlehurst Church of God. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ray Steve and Marlea Dixon of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Stefanie Grace Dixon and great-granddaughter, Kirsten Pearl Rewis. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Edward Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in the Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
