Mrs. Sue Taylor Lowery Welch, age 80 of Georgia Highway 184, Toccoa passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A daughter of the late Clinton and Grace Taylor, she was born May 15, 1940 in Bacon County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Hazlehurst, Georgia and the last thirteen years in Toccoa. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a number of years. She was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vasco A. Lowery, Jr. and by her second husband, Jack Welch.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Vasco and Beth Lowery of Toccoa; grandchildren, Rachel and Tripp Arrowood, Thomas Lowery and Joanna Lowery; one great-grandson, Tom Arrowood; brother Ronnie Taylor of Hyattsville, Maryland; sisters, Lisa Golden of Jacksonville, Florida and Tina Williams of Baxley, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City, Georgia with Rev. Merle Webster officiating.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Welch family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
