Susie G. C. Funderburk, age 87, of Lumber City, died Wednesday, November 04, 2015 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas. Ms. Funderburk was born July 17, 1928 in Telfair County to the late Robert Lee Green and the late Roberta Fordham Green. She was a retired Dietician with Lumber City Nursing Home and then later did Private Care Giving. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Freddie Ambus Colter and Max L. Funderburk and Sons, Nolan Colter and David Colter. Survivors include her Son and Daughter-in-Law, Thomas and Wendy Colter of Denton; Grandchildren, Cindy Sammons of Springhill, Dwight (Tammy) Colter of Hazlehurst, Tina (Wayne) Devaul of Baxley, Freddie (Dedria) Colter of Denton, Christy (Kurtis) Shipes of Baxley, David Colter of Lumber City and Ryan Colter of Lumber City, Twelve Great-Grandchildren, Two Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 07, 2015 at 2:00pm at Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church with Rev. Glen Hancock, Rev. Prentice Herndon and Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Funderburk will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.
