Mr. Tommy Peace, age 69, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Mr. Peace was born May 31, 1952 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wallace Peace and Dawna Mae Powell, stepson, Donald Shampine, brothers, Monroe Hatton and J.W. Peace.

He was previously employed with Varnadore's Auto Parts, but in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, grilling for his family and watching his favorite Nascar driver, #3 Dale Earnhardt.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Morris Peace of Hazlehurst; daughter, Michelle Partin of Hazlehurst, step-daughter, Betty Shampine of Hazlehurst; sisters, Sue Powell (Bob) of Lumber City, Rhonda Riggins of Jacksonville FL, Martil Hatton of Tenn and Minnie Jo Peace of FL; ten grandchildren, Dusty Crawford, Jason Crawford, Wesley Crawford, Kasey Partin, Hailey Partin, Cheltsey Partin, Bryceton Partin, Lakon St. Amour, Rachael Shampine, and Johnathan Shampine;

four great-grandchildren, Payton Crawford, Kayden Crawford, Brooklynn Rentz and Londynn Partin; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at 11:00am at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Royce Hulett officiating.
