Tony Nelson Powell, age 58, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, March 04, 2020 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Mr. Powell was born August 28, 1961 in Telfair County.

He was employed with Thompson Hardwoods and was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Powell.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kay Sellers Powell of Hazlehurst; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi and Matthew Rowell of Hazlehurst and Stephanie and William Causey of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Angel Powell of Hazlehurst; father, Nelson Powell of Lumber City; sister, Alicia Grimes (Jamey) of Helena; brother, Tim Powell of Lumber City; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survived.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 08, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Jones and Rev. David Barber officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dodge Chapel Cemetery in Telfair County.
