Vic Burgess, age 65, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mr. Burgess was born April 4, 1951 in Atlanta. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, retired from Tape Specialist of Georgia and was a member of Philadelphia Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Debra Burgess and father, Charles Lloyd Burgess. Survivors include his daughter, Victoria Barkley of Ocala, FL.; step-daughter, Christy Varnadoe of Hazlehurst; step-sons, Michael Hadden of Hazlehurst and Chris Hadden of Vidalia; Mother, Margaret Elizabeth Burgess; sister, Pamela Wiygul of FL.; brother, Mark Burgess of FL.; eight Grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Friday, November 04, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 05, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Philadelphia Methodist Church Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Vic Burgess, age 65, of Hazlehurst.
