Mr. Victor Aldon Hattaway Jr., age 78, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, October 25, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Hattaway was born March 26, 1943 in Wheeler County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Aldon Hattaway Sr. and Carrie Virginia Stinson Hattaway, wife, Dianne Dyal Hattaway, and grandson, Anthony Hattaway. He was a member of the Jeff Davis Mason Lodge, retired truck driver with Williams Brothers Trucking with 35years of service, loved to fish and was a member of White Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Bruce Thrift of Waycross; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Angie Hattaway of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Ashely Hattaway Miles (Brett) of Hazlehurst, Thomas Hattaway Jr. (Coey Burch) of Hazlehurst, Morgan Bennett Strickland (Levy) of Waycross  and Marissa Bennett Morgan (Taylor) of Waycross, also six great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00am in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Joe Sannutti officiating.

All family and Friends in attendance will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Active pallbearers will be Jake Hughes, Brett Miles, Levy Strickland, Taylor Morgan, Matt Thrift and Lewis Cooper.
