Mrs. Virginia Smith Haynes, age 69, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Piedmont Regional Hospital in Columbus. Mrs. Haynes was born January 27, 1949 in Coffee County to the late Joshua Daniel Smith and the late Vera Smith. She was retired Secretary with Appling County E.M.S., loving wife and mother, member of Bridgeford Church of God. She is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Harper. Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Haynes of Hazlehurst; daughters, Cathy Railey (Michael) of Denton, Patricia Sharpe (Richard) of Hahira and Kelly Brinkley (Jamar) of Hazlehurst; sons, Steve Haynes (Priscilla) of Hazlehurst, Carl Haynes (Andrea) of Hazlehurst and Brent Haynes (Angie) of Hazlehurst; sister, Jean Carol Rawlins of Broxton; brother, Jimmy Smith of Broxton; fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Bridgeford Church of God. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11:00am at Bridgeford Church of God with Rev. Milton Thomas, Rev. Jamie Rivera and Rev. Jeremy DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
