William Archie (W.A.) Shuman, Jr., age 86, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at Navicent Health in Macon. Mr. Shuman was born May 07, 1932 in Brantley County to the late William Archie Shuman Sr. and the late Mary Ella Altman Shuman. He was a Veteran of the Unites States Army, retired from GAF Corporation and member of Southside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his sister, Wauline Jackson and brother, Jimmy Shuman. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Rish Shuman of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Kim and Jeff Miller of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, William Howard and Deneen Shuman of Sparta; sister, Jeanette Bush of Hazlehurst; brothers, Jack Shuman of Rincon, Herman Shuman of Hazlehurst, Clinton Shuman of Pooler and Donald Shuman of Brunswick; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 10:00am-12:00pm then funeral will follow at 12:00 with Rev. Deek Dubberly and Mr. Keith Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Military Honors.
