Mr. Walter Allen Jackson, age 82, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Jackson was born December 21, 1935 in Sandiford FL. to the late Walter Adrian Jackson and the late Mary J. Thomas Jackson. He was a retired Loom Mechanic with Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Hazlehurst Church of God. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jordan Allen Jackson. Survivors include his wife Sarah Rowell Jackson of Hazlehurst; sons and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Vicky Jackson of Hazlehurst and Terry Jackson of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, James and Joan Rowell; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at Hazlehurst Church of God with Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson, Rev. John Nunes and Mr. Billy Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Mr. Jackson will lie in state one hour prior to service.
