Mr. Wendell Eugene Waters, age 76, of Hazlehurst, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 following an extended illness.

Mr. Waters was born March 7, 1944 in Jeff Davis, County; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Will Waters and Molly Rowell Waters. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was retired from Waters Electric as an electrician. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Waters and Herbert Waters.

He is survived by his three sons, Randy Waters of Hazlehurst, Ashley (Amy) Waters of Hazlehurst, and Ricky (Rhonda) Waters of Lumber City, a brother, Lonnie (JoAnn) Waters of Hazlehurst, a sister, Sue Williams of Lizella, six grandchildren and his close friend and caregiver, Deanna Jenkins of Hazlehurst.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Andrews officiating.
