Mr. Willard Harold Stapleton, age 78, of Lumber City, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Lumber City Nursing Home. Mr. Stapleton was born April 14, 1936 in Lumber City to the late William Marcus Stapleton Sr. and the late Jewel Thompson Stapleton. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard, a retired Farmer, and a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, June Annette Wilkes Stapleton of Lumber City; Daughter Sherri (Anthony) Tucker of Lumber City; Two Sons Jeffrey (Christy Burch) Stapleton of Lumber City and Darrell (Cindy) Stapleton of McRae; Sister, Coris McCall of Savannah; Ten Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2014 at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home from 6-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11:00am at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. J. Barry Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Willard Stapleton, age 78, of Lumber City.
