Mr. William Eugene Ray, age 83, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, January 03, 2017 at Hospice of Golden Isles in Brunswick. Mr. Ray was born December 20, 1933 in Jeff Davis County to the late Eugene Ray and the late Dessie Phillips Ray but had resided in Brunswick most of his life. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, retired Manager with Belk's Department Store and member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Bell Ray of Brunswick; two sons, Tom Ray of Rome and Phillip Ray of Brunswick; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survived. Graveside Services will be held Friday, January 06, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Rev. Chris Noyes officiating.
