April Shandre (Shumans) Shumans

Ms. April Shandre Shumans, age 47, of Hazlehurst, died August 08, 2023.

April was born December 20, 1975 in Metter Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Preston and Luna Mae Sellers and paternal grandparents, J.B. and Viola Shumans, and uncle, Randall Shumans.

April was a free-spirit.  She loved to Bake, she loved to shop, she enjoyed listening to gospel music, and enjoyed taking pictures. April loved everybody and everybody loved her. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having them all together.

Survivors include her daughter, Jaeleigh Hughes of Hazlehurst; sons, Colby Taylor, Carson Taylor, Cameron Taylor, and Joshua Hughes all of Hazlehurst; parents, Donnie and Nannette Sellers Shumans of Hazlehurst; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 3:00pm Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Williamson and Rev. Michael Beecher officiating.

Interment will follow Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11:00AM in the Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Colby Taylor, Carson Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Joshua Hughes, Michael Rowell, Preston Sellers, Grant Hall and Justin Hall.

The Shumans Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
