Aubrey Floyd Sr.

Aubrey Floyd Sr., age 75, of Hazlehurst, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on May 06, 1948 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Devoy Floyd and Katie Mae Hall Floyd, son, Christopher Shane Floyd, sisters, Alene Killi, Patricia Griffin, brothers, Eddie Joe Floyd, David Floyd and Donald Floyd.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Hazlehurst City as their Street Department Supervisor.

He loved his family and his fur babies, Rover, Tinker Bell, Rouge, Buck Shot, Bullet II, Lucky, Spot, Baby, Precious, Tarzan, Hercules and Gismo.

Survivors include his wife Mollie Virginia Newell Floyd of Hazlehurst; son, Aubrey Floyd Jr. (Linda) of Hazlehurst; brother, Roger Floyd of Virginia; sisters, Judy Hayes of Hazlehurst and Lisa Tupman of Hazlehurst; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive

The family will be hosting a memorial service at the residence, 51 Buckeye Road, Hazlehurst, Sunday, October 29, 2023 beginning at 3:00pm.
