Betty LaNell Rowell

Mrs. Betty LaNell Rowell, age 75, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Rowell was born December 1, 1946, in Jeff Davis County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edsil Darwin Barlow, Vera Mae Faircloth Barlow, and a grandchild Stacia Lee Flood.

She was a homemaker, and a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, she loved hummingbirds, fishing, cooking, and most of all her loving husband. She was a devoted member of Oakland Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Earl Rowell; of Hazlehurst, Georgia. son: Craig L. (Melissa) Rowell of Hazlehurst, Georgia; daughter: Tena (Scotty) Orvin of Hazlehurst, Georgia; grandchildren:  Logan Stone, Nicholas Rowell, Alexis Rowell, John-Presley Orvin, Harlee Neesmith, Hailee Sellers, Jessi Lee Poole, Dalton Sellers; great-grandchildren; Rianna Ward, Bristol Stone, Lennox Poole, Ellie Kate Stone, and Anna Beth Neesmith.

The Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, at Oakland Baptist Church at 11A.M., and visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Wainright – Parlor from 5 – 8 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bohannon, Chris Parlor, Brandon Parlor, Dax Rowell, Logan Stone, and Nick Rowell; Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Sammons, Bobby, and Cheryl McNeal, Cathy, and Jr. Sharpe, and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
