Betty Turner Obituary

Mrs. Betty Sue Carter Turner, age 70, of Hazlehurst died Monday, November 09, 2020 at her residence.

 

Mrs. Turner was born November 19, 1949 in Wayne County.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Farrell N. Carter, Sr. and Mrs. Ruby Murray Carter, sister, Avey Collins, brothers, Farrell N. Carter Jr. and Darrell J. Carter.

 She loved fishing and Elvis. She was retired from Propex, working there since 1969 and was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Richard Turner of Hazlehurst; sons, Brad Turner (Missy Edge) and Tyler Turner (Anslea), both of Hazlehurst; four sisters, Winifred Hamm of Hazlehurst, Marilyn Landon of Hazlehurst, Shirlene Wooten of Hazlehurst, and Angela (Eileen) Bullard of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren, Hayden Turner, Presley Turner and Bryson Beauchamp; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11:00Am at the Altamaha Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Ryan Lamb and Brother Charles Hutcheson officiating.

 

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

                              

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Turner family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
