Billie Edge Obituary

 

Mr. Billie Edge, age 75, of Denton, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his residence.

 

Mr. Edge was born January 31, 1946 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Willis Edge and Pauline Reeves Wise, brothers, Paulie Edge, Wiley Wise, Glenn Burnson, sister, Darla Kay Burnson.  He had a strong work ethic but in his spare time he loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a truck driver and was employed with R & B Cotton and was of the Baptist Faith.

 

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Alena and Wayne Hurley of Hazlehurst; two sons, Ronnie William Edge of Denton and Bruce Edge of Hazlehurst; mother of his children, Feona Carter Edge of Hazlehurst; brother, Roy Gene Edge of Mississippi; three sisters, Sadie Cook (Tommy) of FL, Wendy Edge of Vidalia and Cindy Sellers of Hazlehurst; eight grandchildren, Brandi Spell, Kayla Hall, Randon Edge, Mikel Edge, Lindsay Overstreet, Kassey Edge, Daniel Edge and Jessica Edge; thirteen great-grandchildren; nephews, Roy Michael Edge and Chris Edge; niece, Cindy Edge Davis.

 

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Oak

Grove Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Morgan officiating.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Kaden Hunter Spell, Kyler Spell, Ross Hall, Jayden Hall, Jaxson Edge, Lindsey Coleman, Ainsley Edge, Jesslynn Herrington, Lily Edge, Addison Edge, Hayleigh Hall, special friend Kalee Cameron.

 

Active pallbearers will be Randon Edge, Mikel Edge, James Edge, Hunter Miller, Alex Rowell, Rick Hall.

 

The Edge family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
