Bobby Glenn Floyd

Mr. Bobby Glenn Floyd, of Baxley, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at his mother’s residence.

Mr. Floyd was born on August 29, 1962 in Appling County.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Floyd, wife, Rebecca Floyd and son, Bobby D. Floyd.

He was employed with City of Hazlehurst, he was a hard worker, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed going fishing every chance he got. He enjoyed listening to country music, taking care of his vehicles, and loved spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Woody Bellamy of Hazlehurst; mother, Mrs. Louise Anderson Kersey of Hazlehurst; brother, Wendell G. Floyd of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, David Bellamy, Briley Floyd Bellamy, McKenize Floyd Bellamy and Jonathan Bellamy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00PM.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Hal Jeffcoat, Rev. Bobby Lairsey and Rev. Charles Carter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.

All City Employees will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

 David Bellamy, Jonathan Bellamy, Kameron Floyd, Lee Floyd, Danny Anderson and Steve Parker will serve as active pallbearers.

The family may be contacted at his daughter’s home, 48 James McLeod Road, Hazlehurst.
