Obituary

Mr. Bobby Taylor, age 56, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, August 18, 2023 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Bobby was born May 04, 1967 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Taylor, maternal grandparents, John Wiley (Dub) and Jewel Starling; maternal great-grandparents, Estes W. and Verlie R. Curl.

Bobby was employed with H and H Home Supply, in his spare time he would drive for Woody Folsom, and was a member of the Hazlehurst Church of God.

He had strong work ethics, but he always tried to find time to go fishing and hunting. He enjoyed watching T.V. especially that WRESTLING, and if not home it was pre-recorded by Angie.

He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Mathis Taylor of Hazlehurst; son, Ty Christopher Taylor of Hazlehurst; daughters and son-in-law, Casandra Ashley Dukes (Daniel) of Hazlehurst and Annabelle Taylor of Hazlehurst;  mother and pops, Mary Lee and Gene Warren of Hazlehurst; brother, Rev. Johnny W. Taylor (Sheri) of Lumber City; sisters, Teresa Starling of Hazlehurst, Melody Dawn Bryant (Lonnie) of Hazlehurst and Betty Jean (B.J.) Warren of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Zaylee Snow Dukes and Fynnlee James Dukes; mother and father-in-law, Martha and Wayne Feller of Hazlehurst; sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Brad Stone of Hazlehurst; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at Hazlehurst Church of God, visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with his brother Rev. Johnny Taylor and Rev. John Nunes officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Shon McEachin officiating.

Troy Taylor, Garrett Taylor, Austin Murray, Aaron Taylor, Eli McEachin, and Paul Smith will serve as active pallbearers.  

The Taylor Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
